The Proud Line started as friends on a group chat — same night every week, same rink, same inside jokes. We wanted ice time that felt safe, where you could wear what you want, use your pronouns, and not explain yourself. Generic sports apps hid pronouns and made identity optional, so we built software shaped around how our community actually plays.
Every feature asks: does this work for a trans nonbinary defenseman, a lesbian goalie who uses they/them, a bi forward flying the progress flag, and the ally who drives carpool? If not, we fix it before we ship it.
We didn't need another app that tolerated us. We needed one that expected us — on the roster, on the scoresheet, and in the room.
